Congrats to Jayden Scott from RH for getting 2nd place in a very close match, is he an 8th grader?
Looks like a good wrestling future.

Officially, he is the state champion . Since his opponent was from the Catholic Schools he is not eligible for a state medal so it is goes to Jayden. He is second in the Federation, but you will see his name whenever there are official listing on state champions.

That whole thing's weird, because why would he be the public State Champ over Matt Griffen? They both had only one loss to the same kid!
If you're gonna remove the Catholic school winner and hand the championship to the 2nd place kid, then you need to wrestle for a true 2nd where it applies.

Makes sense..in my book he earned 2nd place. Neither him or griffin can b called the nys champion. But grest shiwing, and stick w hard work and you will get upto 4 more stabs at it! If you earn it...you will get it. Nice work this year!
