Rush-Henrietta should not be state ranked. I think it is a joke. Don't get me wrong, they are a good team but are not the 4th best team in the section. Brockport beat them in a dual which established them as #4 behind S-port, CA, and Wayne. If R-H is state ranked, Brockport should be as well and ranked above R-H.

Personally, I don't know why anyone really cares at all about state rankings. Sure it's cool to see your school ranked as one of the elite teams in all of New York but the rankings themselves have no reason to even be there. Teams don't compete for first in the state so why rank them as such? Now if they did like a dual meet sectionals and state competition similar to that of how most sports run sectionals team wise then i'd actually pay attention to team rankings. But until then, I'm only listening to the individual rankings.

RH Shouldent be state Ranked? Whoever said that is an idiot. Yes the lossed to Brockport in a dual but anyone who was there could probably agree RH should have won that match. And since then they have proved there better than brockport beating them at 3 tournaments. Hey brockports a good team to and should be ranked in the state but saying RH shouldent is a joke. They Almost beat CA in a dual 33-32 And theve finished in head of teams that are state Ranked in many tournaments

R-H is state ranked on the nywrestling.com team rankings. They are #18. I was at the R-H/Brockport match as well and it was a good match, but i don't think that R-H should have won. You can say they should have, could have all you want but the fact is they didn't and since rankings are based on dual meets only, this means Brockport is higher than them. You can check my post in the topic "team sectional champs?" on how placing higher than one team in a tournament doesn't matter at all, even though tournament results aren't used for rankings anyway.

I'm having trouble trying to figure out the case some of you are trying to make about R-H being ranked ahead of Bport. Brockport beat R-H in a dual. The rankings are based on dual meets. Ergo common sense should put Brockport ahead of R-H. The real question should be, should Brockport even be ranked? I don't know. Things are looking good for Section V though, and hopefully by the end of the year we will have five teams in the top twenty five. I am pulling for Brockport myself, and a great finish for the Blue Devils.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and Brockport beat R-H... whether it's by 1 point or by 50 it's a win. Just like with the individual, whether a kid wins the state championship in otc or if he techs his opponent it doesn't matter because he wins the state title. Therefore, a win is a win is a win no matter how it's dressed up. And I still think state rankings are pointless, no need to waste the time and/or money.

Both brockport and RH should be state ranked .
They could both bet Greece Olympia and Greece Olympia beat state ranked Mexico.
