Congratulations to Greece Olympia winning the Lockport tournament this weekend. The Spartans won by a huge margin over 16 other teams (mostly from section VI). Even though Olympia did not field either a 96 or 275 lber. 11 of their wrestlers competed in the championship and consolation finals.
Tie for 3rd* - Aroon Soukhanouvong (112 lbs.) * tie due to NY 5 match limit
2nd - John Bonaldi (119 lbs.)
2nd - Chris Caito (125 lbs.)
Tie for 3rd* - Tim Greene (130 lbs.) * tie due to NY 5 match limit
4th - Phil Lombardo (135 lbs.)
1st - T.R. Nolan (140 lbs.)
3rd - Riley Shea (152 lbs.)
4th - Tom van der Horst (160 lbs.)
Tie for 3rd* - Nate Mensing (171 lbs.) * tie due to NY 5 match limit
1st - Nate Burns (189 lbs.)
1st - Ellis Snow (215 lbs.)
The JV's also did very well. Congratulations to Josh Veltre (96 lbs.) and Rob Cassidy (125 lbs.) for taking first place and many other Spartan JV's who placed.
