Bourne closer to 171 , then Wade is to 160 (4-2)
NO SCORING for 275...Islip's Chris Winston is ONE of the Best in the State.
NICE= not great , .....good.
Good win for Spencerport
LIMarty,
You give "props" to Spencerport a few posts befor this and then repost with this nonsence. Every team knew going in what weights were scoring weights and which ones were not. So Islips 275 is a moot point as is Spencerports 96. On other state forums you have been posting about how great the Islip team is this year. With the exception of a couple of posters on this site no one gave Spencerport any shot of winning it all at UE (my self included,I thought Islip or Fulton). Now that they did win it beating the great Islip team along with Fulton the best you can say is " not great,....good". What is it with you Marty? I really like reading your posts on themat.com but on the new york sites you are really turning out to be no better then some of the smack talking kids with your "left handed complements".
Seeing how you can't say it for yourself let me say it for you. NICE=GREAT! GREAT JOB SPENCERPORT AND THEIR COACHING STAFF IN BEATING A GREAT ISLIP TEAM! YOUR #1 RANKING IS WELL EARNED!
Now doesn't that feel better Marty? Giving credit where credit is due with no strings attached helps you to grow as a person and I know that deep inside you are a good person and a great fan of new youk wrestling.

Fellas,
Lets be fair.....
You know Islip is just barely a "Large" school....BUT, more importantly IF you are really trying to COMPARE Team strength you dont go by elimination of "weight classes" (as to the UE Duals) . Yes, Spencerport was the victor...no doubt/ but are they the better Team???
Christen Wintons "whacked" the Spencerport kid in an exibition....Last time I looked he is ranked highly in Suffolk and in NYS at 275 lbs .....and more importantly he is part of the ISLIP Team.
add 275 lbs into the score (6 pts) and you get what ??? If Im a "Sportswriter" , I would have to consider this......
I think Spencerport is a "great" program, with very few down years/ Props to Coach Jacotout...I think Bourne is one of the TOP recruits in the Country.
peace

Much better Marty. You are one of NY state wrestlings biggest advocates on the national scene. Its nice to see that side of you on the local level.

Yeah Limarty lets be fair .You guys win and it was "I told you so". We win and it was against a "nice" team ,a couple of years back it was "our best team wasn't at the UE's "and again this year it's "yeah but we didn't get to wrsetle our 275lber. and were "barely a large school" boohoo!Face it you are a sore loser. When we lost I said our team wasn't as good as usual ,not an excuse they weren't . Just telling the truth. But we still lost no matter what the reason. Good job Islip. You don't need some loser to make excuses for you . Your wrestlers seemed like a class act.

If I am a sportswriter I consider this 25-22 spencerport beats islip. I guess I would have to consider Spencerport #1. Marty, you can say what if 275 wrestled but the fact of the matter is that islip lost with a stacked team. Did they even win a match at ue?

my bad, they went 1-1. in a major tournament like that, doing so poorly should drop that ranking for islip.

true, they had a bye and didn't wrestle for third, they would have won the first round and third place IMO.

Spen/Islip didn't wrestle wrestled 275 exhibition either - even if he thinks sportwriters would care.
