On January 8th, Port Byron Wrestling will be hosting a youth 6 team round robin dual meet wrestling tournament. Wrestlers from Kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome. Modified wrestlers are fine, no Varsity/JV experience allowed. We are looking for town based teams. If your team is too small to field a full team, then its fine to combine with another local team. If your team is missing some weight classes then its ok to bring in a few kids from other teams. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams. The weights are (45,50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 92, 100, 110, 120, HWT(137Max) Wrestlers must weigh in within 2 pounds of weight class. We will accept teams on a first come, first serve basis. Looking for three more teams to round out the field. So far we have the host team Port Byron, along with Cato-Meridian and North Rose Wolcott. We will run exhibition matches for other wrestlers on the teams that are not involved in the dual meet tournament on a separate mat.
