How are the Division I, II and II decided upon for Monroe Co. Athletic Conferences for Wrestling decided? I thought I was told they did it in accordance with team ability in order to keep things fair and have schools wrestle like competition. Not sure if that is true can someone chime and let me know.

Yes for Sectional Classes that is correct. But what about for Monroe County Divisions I, II & III. If that were true for Monroe Co. Greece would be Division I.

If I remember correctly it use to be geographically separated but for the last 3 years it appears it has been based on competition/ team size.

Probably time to think about going back to east and west division and have a crossover night to decide sections v dual team. Then teams don’t have to commit to a tournament they have no chance in. Otherwise you’ll continue to have teams pull out.
