2005 Two Day Dual Meet Tourney
12-27 & 12-28[/b]
I would like to start a 2 day 20 team dual meet tournament in December of 2005. The format would be as follows. During the first day of competition 10 of the 20 schools would compete in separate tournaments at 2 different locations. These 10 schools would be split into two pools of 5 teams. Each team would have 4 matches within their pools with a final 5th match being a cross over match with a team from the opposite pool depending upon your teams placement within their own pool. As an example the two teams with the best records would wrestle to see who was first and who was second. The teams with the second best records would wrestle for 3rd and 4th and so on. We will have criteria to determine which teams fall where in the cases where teams within the same pools have the same records. The following day on day 2 the 10 teams that finished 1st – 5th at the previous days tourney would come together and wrestle the same format for day two. This would allow all of your wrestlers to have 10 dual meet matches and only take up 2 point’s form the 22 point system. This would also allow for the teams with similar records to compete against each other on the second day of wrestling. If you are interested please email or call me ASAP.
