Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Invitational Wrestling Tournament
For the 13th consecutive year, The College at Brockport will team up with Oklahoma University for the annual Brockport/ Oklahoma Invitational Wrestling Tournament. The eight team tournament will be held in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Tuttle North Saturday, November 12.
Along with Brockport, the tournament consists of seven Division I opponents, all which finished in the top 65 teams in the nation last season. The fifth ranked American University Eagles are the top ranked team in the tournament. Oklahoma University comes in at 16th in the nation, while the University of Buffalo is ranked 39th.
Other teams include University of Maryland (18th), Rutgers University (27th), Clarion University (48th) and Army (62nd). The tournament also displays six returning NCAA Division I All-Americans from last year. Oklahoma, American, and Maryland each send two of the returning All-Americans. Tyler Caldwell of Oklahoma, wrestling at 165 lbs, finished second in the nation last season. Ryan Flores of American also finished second in the nation last season in the 285 lb weight class.
