There weren't 76 trombones and 110 coronets in the big parade. Or a fanfare of a thousand trumpets to start the festivities. There wasn't a portly, cigar chewing M.C., with a spiel as old and tired as the attractions they shout the praise of. No ring master, no trapeze artists. there were no elaborate program notes and well attired ushers and patrons. The 'standing room only' signs were not resurrected from the dusty closet tomb. But, life went on and so did a winning streak. What there was that day that the Coning Community College wrestling team met Cortland-Tompkins Community College was a small slice of nostalgia and a large hunk of skill in a wrestling exhibition.
