He was rated number one in the 1991 New York 100 Rankings, and is centered one of NYS's all-time greats with two state titles, a runner-up medal, and over 160 career wins. Recently he was ranked second in the country at 119 pounds, by Amateur Wrestling News for high school wrestlers. Nick Hail, 215 pounds, was also ranked second.
