How hard would be to use state rankings for the wildcards. If your ranked top 20 in state and dont win your section you get the wildcard or something similar to that.

What State rankings?? The ones that are based on somebody's opinion? Grownups should be kept out of this, because they created this mash-up.
The fact that a computer decides who the wildcards are isn't a silly idea. The people feeding the computer the faulty criteria are! And just like last year, they have 365 days to fix it. So really, our only hope is that somebody smart and objective with some influence walks in that room. Or the next step is just eliminating WC's altogether.
