i highly doubt beckwith will lose, let alone lose by 7 points the kid is a national champion.
digravio will have a tough time as well as dierna and i doubt burke will make it too the finals.
i do like quinton murphy but 125 is a STACKED wieght class, probably tougher than states.
its a long and well in-depth tournament so expect many upsets...

Good luck section V

I like the upsets on Wilcox and Beckwith but I just can't bet against them. Beck is as good as they come and Wilcox has had some huge wins through his career. I'd like to see Zak Griffith place higher but he is in a tough class as well.

Sometimes I wish it all came down to the best 2 in the state at each weight.

All due respect to 189 lbers. but other than the top 4 seeds i don't believe it is as difficult as some of the other weight classes. Mark this down; Coggins will not beat Beckwith. The match might be close in score and Coggins is tough but Beckwith will never be in any trouble. Wish Ryan Darch was there to stiffen up the weight class even more but I heard he is just beginning to come back from a knee injury. Coggins and Darch had a great match at the Junior Nationals this past spring with Darch beating him in a fairly close match.

You'll see that in several weight classes this weekend, sometimes in the semi's and wrestlebacks. Last year DiGravio was 6th at ESC, Heyman was 3rd, Heyman beat DiGravio in the wrestle back semi's, Franco beat Wilcox, Ruggirello beat Grippi...lots of great match ups.

I think the seeds are wrong. How is Smith 11th at 145? He took 3rd at Beast and 5th at Super32. Also nick Lawrence at 160 is seeded 13th and beat the 4th seed at his weight last week.

I agree about Smith. Not only is it unfair to him, but the higher seed that meets him too early. I see a lot of problems with these seeds.

This Tourney is stacked this year...last time I remembered it this good was in 2005.

103- watch out for Mauriello/Hauppauge- he has come down from 112

125- is just totally ridiculous- that good

130- the weakest weight class. How ???

135- will be very interesting

140- Dutton is the man -BUT....it does have talent

145- it very good

160- I like Volpe a heck of alot.

171- Beckwith has just been overpowering- Coggins is real good

215- Horl has been getting better- and better...sleeper is Martello.

At 103 dierna is gonna lose by alot more than just a point. The kid from timberlane won the beast this year.

I think Belanger from Shen will win at 135. He's extremely hard to take down.
