Who are some of the top youth wrestlers in NY State for 2009 ages 5-14. Please provide section, school, age and weight.

Their are 6 - 8 kids from Penfield Youth Program that are really good.

Michael Spallina Jr. Ranger section V 10 years old 95lbs
Aaron Paddock Team X Section V 12 years old 85lbs
Jimmy Overhiser Section V 12 years old 80 lbs
Nicholas Cocola Watkins Glen section iv 12 years old 115 lbs
Renoldo Rodriguez Buffalo section vi 13 years old 90 lbs
Burke Paddock Team X section v 14 years old 130 lbs
Theirs many more top boys, little help.

His name is Frankie Gissendanner. Yes he is very good especially seeing he just started. Great natural abilities. He was wrestling out of Pittsford but goes to school in Penfield. Maybe teaming up with Penfield Youth for remainder of youth season

Penfield, Spencerport, and Brockport has an outstanding team of boys that are very good. I have seen some of the boys in action at the tournaments. They are good. I know that Penfield has a website where you can see stats and video. www.penfieldwrestling.com

the best #70-#75 my son has seen so far this year is kobe garrity from maine-enwell he's very talented. #65 would have to be dane from alden.

You shouldn't discredit other teams. I'm sure your boys are good as well. I think piper was asking for opinions and who you think is the best. These are merely opinions. I'm sure the names that come to mind are probably the ones who you see the most or are the most interested in - not to discredit anyone. Remember these are children and I'm sure every team has an outstanding athlete. Naturally you would want your boy or boys to be the best but realisticly there is always someone better ALWAYS.

i think Courtney DeWolf from NWAA is one of the top wrestlers she is 10 at 115 and has only lost one match so far

I think there are a lot of great youth teams out there. It is awesome to see so many kids at the tournaments and duals. I think it is amazing that one of the toughest mental sports that exsist can draw so many kids. It makes me proud to see my boys walk out on the mat. I wish youth had been so big when I was young. Let's just all agree that all programs have good kids, the wrestling decides the rest.
