Geneva Youth Tournament

Guest

I hope Geneva isn't going to mislead wrestlers this year by saying in their fliers that there will be awards thru 4rth place when last year a couple of my wrestlers placed 4rth and came away with nothing. they should not say this to get more wrestlers to come to their tourney and then not follow thru !!!

First of all, we didn't have a tournament last year... The year before we had a tournament and had left over awards???
The awards for this year are already in. Championship Belts for first place, trophies for 2nd thru 4th, and custom ribbons for all participants. We purchased enough ribbons to account for over 500 entries. If anyone mistakenly did not receive an award from our tourny two years ago, please let me know, and I'll make sure you recieve one.

We have around 500 wrestlers on either 8 or nine mats. Should be a long day, but GREAT wrestling. We have kids coming from over 11 different states.

Our team from amsterdam NY will be their next year for sure we think the compatition was outstanding even stronger than the ohio tournament of champions It got a late start but with as many wrestlers as their was I think it all went pretty well the only sugestion I have is to let the finals be wrestled as soon as they are ready not make them wait untill wrestle backs are done this hurt 2 of our wrestlers that were in the finals they had a 2 hour wait befor their finals witch made it a very long wate but besides that we think it went great and with some more mat space witch I was told next year they will have it will be even better Thanks for having such a tournament Amsterdam Premier Wrestling Club we are having a team tournament for youth wrestlers on feb 26th. and we have 2 spots left open if you would like info on this tournament please e-mail jameslapi@frontiernet.net

They had 52 points. 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 thirds and a fourth.
I still have their Team Award sheet that they handed to me before the wrestling started. I can email it to you if you'd like.

Kind regards,
Kyle
