Divisions & Weights: Wrestlers will be paired using the Madison Style Pairing System at the Regional Tournament
G1 (2009-2006), G2 (2005-2003), G3 (2002-2000), G4 (1999-1996)
*EXEMPTIONS – Girls Division Wrestlers automatically qualify for the NYWAY State Tournament in Ithaca, NY, but are still encouraged to participate in this OPEN Tournament.
Rules:
All divisions are determined by birth year.
NYS Modified High School Rules with NYS Certified Referees.
NFHS overtime rules apply. Headgear is highly encouraged.
Period lengths - Divisions 1 (1-1-1) Divisions 2, 3, & 4 (1:30, 1:30, 1:30)
NYWAY Championships on March 14th and 15th at Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY
Welcome to all wrestlers. There are no regional restrictions to compete.
Weight classes with 5 or fewer wrestlers will wrestle in a round robin format
Hair Cover Recommended. Singlets needed for weigh-ins
