Thoughts on Supers

That guy that came out at the beginning of Finals was an embarrassment to wrestling. He didn't even know what section he was in. He kept saying Section 6. Who was he? I thought Don Murray and his wrestlers did a good job helping to put Supers on at SUNY Brockport. It's a better venue than the ESL Center because you have to look through the plastic shield there. Any other thoughts?

Gianforti wrestled his xxxx off after looking like crap on the first day (needing double OT to beat Amadu from R-H), hope he wrestles better the 1st day of states...Props to Irwin, credit must be given where it is due and he cowboy'd up and got it done...To bad for Jasen Borshoff, tough way to go out...Also Joey Ranzenbach a 4x runner up i think someone said, he was a good wrestler and was so close...So what Gregor didnt feel like teching James this time around?, or was he so eager to top Ingrahams "4 fingers" with his counting up to 5, very amusing to say the least but Ingraham is gonna go 6x so we'll see...Bloom looked very impressive against Snook, i didnt think it was gonna be that easy for him...Also back to Gregor, i dont think he has had a point scored on him at counties, AA's or the Supers, pretty impressive if thats the case, good luck at states!

Too bad that it is so hard to root for Gregor sometimes. Kind of like Randy Moss, all kinds of talent but no class. Did you see him fighting with his coach over his hat? Props to his coach for trying to get him to not wear it. Maybe he considers it his personall statement to wear his goofy hat backwards and a superman shirt, but to the rest of us, he just looks like a jerk.

to the crab rider guy.....i'm sorry that you don't approve of my hat, or shirt, but how can you call my hat goofy? it's a normal hat from edinboro, and how is it classless to wear a hat? it's a wrestling match, not church or dinner...and my coach wasn't trying to not let me wear my hat, he could care less, he was just trying to bug me because he knows how much i like that hat, he was just messing with me, just to let you know...bye guys...gregor

You can't compare it like that. Some leagues are really divided into sub-leagues. You need to break it down like this:

Monroe County D1
Monroe County D2
Monroe County D3
LCAA D1
LCAA D2
FL West
FL East
FL Central
GRL
SCAA
Expressway
City/Catholic

For example, if Brighton wrestled Brockport, it's non-league, even though they're both in Monroe County. Or if York wrestles Hornell, it's also non-league, even though both are part of LCAA. OR, if Wayne wrestles Red Jacket, it's also non-league.

I don't feel like figuring it out, but I'd be curious who sent the most guys broken down by LEAGUE. I suspect FLE sent the most, followed by MC D1.

i can can tell Gillespie is very confident in himself. He turn his back TWICE to a kid he was wrestling. I mean why would you ever turn your back in a match. I still can't believe he did it it bogles my mind!!!

To all who have wished ill feelings toward Gillisipie and any other wrestler in Section V, I guess you don't understand the sport of wrestling as a whole, because it truely is a mental game. Can you imagin making it once, let alone five time to states..... So he deserves every right to be the wretler that he is, I myself only wish him good luck!!!! Bring it home Gregory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are 8 teams in the Expressway Conference, 4 from Section V and 4 from Section VI. Yes, they wrestle Section VI teams in dual meets.
