I know there are requirements for a wrestler to compete in sectionals for a desired weight class. Does anyone know what these requirements are?

You must wrestle 50% of your matches at the weight you intend to wrestle at sectionals.

Is it wrestle 50% of those matches or weigh in 50% at the desired weight you wish to wrestle at sectionals?

nervermind, I got the answer, I think.
"Each state association's rules may also require that in order to compete in a weight class at the state championships, that he/she must compete at a weight class for at least 50-percent of his/her matches"

Do tournaments count as one match or can each match of a tournament be included?

is that only for going down a weight.what if you've been wrestling 140 all season then think you can do better at 145 for sectionals.just wondering

it goes by weigh ins you have to weigh in 50% of you matchs at the weight tht u want to go say u are cutting weight to make 112 u make weigh ins then in the daul meet you wrestle 119 that weight still counts for 112

i believe it counts as 1 weigh in...not per match
