Seems like you have some knowledge of F&M.
Couple of questions.
1. Any news on F&M's recruiting class?
2. Does Gianforti expect to go 141 again next year?
Thanks,
HF

Hey there Hasbin,
I have no new news on these questions right now. I'll see what info I can dig up, and post here. Do you follow the EIWA or just F&M?

I dug up this info from the wrestling report. Hope that it's helpful.
^^^Here’s a look at F&M for 2008, and this information was provided by a very well placed F&M Diplomat wrestling source. F&M is coached by Pete Schuyler. Here we go:
125 – Jacob Bucha, who started this past season for F&M at this weight, returns. Jacob is from Norristown, PA, and completed 2007 with a W/L of 12-6.
Incoming freshman, Steven Sabreen, is expected to battle Bucha for the starting spot. From Wexford, PA, Mr. Sabreen was a good high school wrestler for North Allegheny High School.
133 – Look for Austin Reed (soph/Upper Perk HS/PA) to start. Mr. Reed recorded a W/L of 9-4 for the 2007 season.
141 - Al Gianforti (jr/Canandaigua, NY) returns. Mr. Gianforti is one of F&M’s best grapplers, completing this past season at 18-9, including a 3rd place finish at the Wilkes Open. Look for incoming Chris Maples (PA) to add depth at this weight class.
149 – Andrew Smith (sr/Annapolis) aims to cert and start at this weight, after competing the past two seasons mainly at 157. Mr. Smith, who has won a total of 21 bouts during his Dip wrestling career, is looking for a break-out 2008 down at his fighting weight.
157 – One possibility for the starting role at this weight class is incoming frosh Anthony Bongarzone. Mr. Bongarzone placed 7th in the 2007 NJ State Tournament, competing at 152 pounds for Monmouth Regional.
The other grappler who aims to start at 157 is veteran James Schutz, a junior from Wyckoff, NJ. Shutz has been wrestling mostly at 165 and 174 the past two seasons, and has a two-year cumulative W/L record of 14-21. Schutz is capable of a good season down at 157.
165 – Justin Herbert (jr/New Milford, PA) returns. One of F&M’s best grapplers, Mr. Herbert has a respectable college career W/L of 31-20.
174 – The F&M source says that senior Nino San Doval will go at 174 this coming season. From Allison Park, PA, Mr. Sandoval was competing some at 184 this past season.
184 – F&M has an excellent recruit to man this weight. He’s Dan Canfield out of Ohio. This past season Mr. Canfield placed second in the 2007 Ohio Div I Tournament, competing at 189 pounds for Lakota East. His senior-year W/L was 39-4.
197 – Shawn Logue (soph/NY) will start at this weight. A former NY State runnerup, Shawn logged an 8-7 record this past season, competing as a true freshman.
285 – Nico Somers areguably is the Dips best wrestler. He’s a junior out of Green Village, NJ. This past season, Mr. Somers moved up to hwt from 197, placed 5th at the Mat-Town Open, won the Wilkes Open, and completed the 2007 season at 20-5. I’d expect Somers to have an even bigger 2008, including a high place at the 2008 EIWA Tournament, by the way, to be hosted by F&M.
That’s a look at F&M for 2008, and we wish the Diplomats the very best! -Allen (WR.com)
