Enough is enough. There has been alot of garbage talk on here about Amsterdam. This team helathy will hang with anyone including Soencerport. They wouldn't beat Spencerport but it would be respectable. The problem with them right now is they are crippled. Palmerino(130 lber) has been out, 135 Dufresne can't walk because of his knee and shouldn't of wrestled the last two weeks, and McNamara hasn't even been practicing because of an injury. And you see what happend yesterday to him. I am by no means making up excuses, but this team is more than banged up. They shouldn't even of been to the last two tournaments. Guys might be out for the year now. A helathy Amsterdam with a full line-up will and would smoke these teams that they are now losing to or struggling against. Believe me when I tell you this. Luckily for these other teams we will never know.

your right we will never know. Unfortunately injuries are part of the equation on how well a team does.

Relax Gator - The seasoned Ranger fans just love to wind a guy like you up. Injures are a factor for every team every season, you don't need to make excuses for your team. Part of what makes Spencerport tough to knock off is the depth they have, when one of their good guys gets hurt someone else is there to step up.

Yeah well Amsterdam doesn't have ANY depth. I told you they wouldn't beat Spencerport if they were healthy, I am saying that they would beat these other teams. If healthy they kill Johnson City and they would even beat Waverly. The team they have now is middle of the pack in Section 2. Two weeks ago they were the best, even better than Shen. I don't know if these kids will make it back or not. There may be two season ending injuries.

Understand the experience will make them a better team in the future.

They were not better than Shen fully healthy. That's silly. You get some big wins in the middleweights, but the outcome is never in doubt.

Hey provocateur how do you figure? I have gone through the matches a couple of times. Amsterdam wins 130 through 160. They than have to avoid Austin at 171 or 89, so that is a win and a loss. Robby Pacheco needs to keep it close like he did the last match and they need one more win whether it's 96 or somewhere's else. I don't know how you do your strategy but it isn't a good one.

Forget it, I changed my mind Palmerino is out and they can't win. End of discussion.

I say that Shen wins 96 through 130, with bonus points at 103 (6), 112 (4), 119 (6) and 125 (6). A'dam wins 135, 140, 145 and 160, with 3 pts at 135, 6 pts at 140, 4 at 145 and I'll give 6 at 160. 171 is questionable, but a probable win for A'Dam. 152 is up for grabs. You're losing 6 at 189. You're losing 215 and 285 with possible bonus points at both weights. I say 41-25, giving you 171 and 152.

Don't get me wrong. I think that A'Dam is a great team and is going to put a few guys on the podium in Albany this year, but Shen's lightweights are excellent and the heavies (beyond Austin) have been good, especially Almaviva with 2nd at Spencerport and a 4 OT 1 point loss to McGrew.

They don't win either 96, 130 or get the pin at 135, I suspect.

Amsterdam is a good team, but the best teams have depth. Amsterdam has no depth but their program is still growing and eventually they will.

Yeah1234 you couldn't be more wrong if you tried. In two years Amsterdam won't beat Canajoharie or Galway. The program is diminishing. The premieres isn't what it used to be and kids aren't coming out. They lose alot of seniors this year and next year they will be below average. It's kind of like the football program a little bit. The kids just aren't coming out. It requires hard work and kids now are slackers.
